Web content played key role in successful recruitment drive

Dalhousie University

With student enrolment numbers dwindling, Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Computer Science had a problem. Recruitment and application season was quickly approaching, and the Faculty realized that they weren’t going to get more applications unless they did a better job appealing to more prospective students through improved web content.

More applications and higher enrolment

“We contracted Emily Amos of Word Savvy to rewrite and develop web content for the entire Faculty website because we knew she was up to the task,” says June Davidson, Director of Marketing at Dalhousie University.

By writing content that spoke to students in their own language, Emily was able to help the Faculty start a conversation with prospective students and get them excited about the university, the program and the opportunities that exist in the field.

“Enrolment is up this year, thanks in large part to the great content Emily created for us,” concludes Davidson.
